Dr. Cecil L. (Weedy) Johnson

   Dr. Johnson is a native of Athens, GA, where he attended the University of Georgia as an undergraduate and graduated with honors from the UGA College of Veterinary Medicine in 1983. After having been selected as one of 15 students nationally to be offered an internship at the prestigious Animal Medical Center in New York City, Dr. Johnson lived and worked in the Big Apple for one year. Upon moving to Atlanta, he worked with Dr. Jan Hines at the Alpharetta Animal Hospital for 5 years. Then in 1990, he opened his own practice, the Dunwoody Animal Medical Center.

   Dr. Johnson resides in Dunwoody and has two sons, Ryan, currently a student at UGA and Ben, who is in high school at Wesleyan. When he is not at work, Dr. Johnson can often be found enjoying the company of his friends and children in the outdoors. On Saturdays in the fall however, you will most likely find him watching, listening to, or attending a Georgia football game!

 

Dr. Iris Pinsky

   Dr. Pinsky was born in Panama, Central America, while her father was serving as a career Army officer. Her family traveled extensively with him and eventually settled in Summerville, South Carolina. She graduated from high school in Summerville and attended the College of Charleston. She went on to earn her degree in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia in 1995. Dr. Pinsky joined the Dunwoody Animal Medical Center in 1999.

  Dr. Pinsky lives in Dunwoody with her husband, two children, 4 dogs, 2 cats, 3 parrots, a bearded dragon and fish.

   Dr. Pinsky is currently enrolled in the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society course and will soon be offering some alternative medicine options.

 

 

Dr. Kimberly C. Hamer

Hamer Veterinary Consulting & Relief Services

   Dr. Hamer grew up in Florence, South Carolina, and attended the University of Georgia. There she earned her B.S. degree in Zoology and went on to receive her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 1996. After working at the Dekalb Animal Hospital in Tucker, GA, from 1996-2005, Dr. Hamer began a new career as a relief veterinarian. Dr. Hamer has been a regular substitute for Dr. Johnson and Dr. Pinsky since 2006, and also services other animal hospitals in the Greater Atlanta area.

   She enjoys balancing her life as a mother and a Veterinarian. She lives here in Dunwoody with her husband, son, labrador, cavalier King Charles spaniel and cat.
